Women in the Arts 2024 Virtual Showcase!

The Arab Film and Media Institute (AFMI) upcoming programming, Arab Women in the Arts, includes films from different countries and regions, but all interconnected by the juxtaposition of the devastation and inhumanity of war and occupation vs. the hearts and longings of regular people who are guided by courage and hope. (note: the two films specifically related to Palestine are both in person - the NY premier of LYD and THE TEACHER at SFFILM)

Arab Women in the Arts returns in May for its 4th edition. It is AFMI's annual showcase to honor generations of Arab women who have excelled in and revolutionized all forms of artistic expression. This year's program will highlight identity and our connections to our home or homeland through themes such as food, sustenance, soil and the concept of self reliance. Find the full schedule here.
