The People’s Shabbat and Rally - Safety through solidarity and anti-Zionist Judaism
Jewish Voice for Peace DC Metro invites all those committed to Palestinian liberation to an anti-Zionist Shabbat action. In the lead-up to the historic “People’s March”, we’re hosting a “People’s Shabbat” on the evening of Friday, January 17th. In contrast to the fear-driven, ADL-backed Trump agenda, we will share our positive vision for the future where safety is achieved through solidarity rather than supremacy and domination.
You can expect to hear from speakers representing various communities affected by the ADL’s harmful “advocacy”. While this action will include Jewish ritual elements (including some challah for everyone!), Jews and non-Jews alike are encouraged to join us in solidarity against genocide and for liberation.
All who stand in solidarity with Palestinians are invited to this family friendly, artful demonstration, so share this action widely! Please RSVP so we can be sure to send you the exact time, location and other updates. This event will be completely outdoors, and after a short walk from our meeting point to our final location, we will remain stationary (more accessibility info coming soon).
